I must have assumed my Knight was on f4 still - missing the mate-in-1 as it turned out this was the last game before the club championship - I had only won a couple of games a couple of weeks back - lost my last 7 although I remember that I had looked through my games and actually was encouraged since I didn't think I was completely doing stupid things all the time (as the score suggested - 2 out of 29 2 games unfinished). I concluded that I was playing OK in some but just not seeing some simple things - and I think that -this- game would in fact encourage that view too. 40... Rxf2# 1-0
